How to install apps on Even G2 (Even Hub)
Apps for the Even G2 are installed from the Even Hub catalogue inside the Even Realities phone app. Developers can also share a plugin as a web link that opens it in the app.
Get the Even Realities app: iOS (App Store) · Android (Google Play)
Steps
- Open the Even Realities app and go to the Even Hub tabEven Hub lives in the companion app as its own tab. Exact tab and button labels may differ in your app version.
- Find the app in the catalogue and install itPublished apps surface in the Even Hub catalogue, and users install them through the Even Realities app. Press coverage describes installation as taking seconds. If someone shares a plugin link with you, it opens a page with an "Open in Even Realities App" option.
- Launch itOpen the app from the glasses menu or from the Even Hub tab in the phone app. Control it with the temple touchpads or the R1 ring.
Good to know
- No camera or speaker on the glasses, so apps cannot use them. Plugins can use the phone's camera and photo album if you grant permission.
- Only plugins are live today. Dashboard widgets, layouts and AI skills are not yet available according to the docs.
- The iOS app requires iOS 16.0 or later. For Android, check the Google Play listing.
- Some apps exist only as public source code. Their READMEs describe developer routes (scan a QR code from the Even app, or sideload a .ehpk file). They aren't one-tap installs. If you can't find an app in the catalogue, don't assume it's installable.
- Developers also have private and beta testing routes, which aren't covered here.
